Being a developer it’s pretty easy to check the web page source code of any website. Wait a minute. Did I just say “of any website”? 

In this article:

I have covered all the techniques which will show you the source code of any website. Yupp! “any”.  :). As a digital marketer even I use these techniques on the competitor.

We will cover all the way through we can see the source code of any website. 

NOTE: I have included some strategy with the help of it you can see the source code of any website in this world.

Yes, even If they disable the right click on their website.

Google Chrome gives a vast number of ways to check the source code. Let’s check on it first.

Google Chrome

For simplicity, I have written this blog with the help of the screenshots of webpages. 

In this section, I have taken the Hubspot official(Hubspot.com) website.

It’s pretty easy to view the source code of a website on chrome.

In starting it’s normal if you feel what the heck he is doing, even I had that feeling what I get started,  but as we all used to do the same thing every day you will start feeling ah…it’s nothing.

To view, the source code on chrome follows the steps below.

  • Open any website for which to view the source code.
  • Open the particular web page to see the source code.

  • Right Click on a blank part of the web page and select View page source from the pop-menu appears.

Note: The first two steps to view source code of a web page will be similar for all cases.

To view the source code of a particular web page follows the steps below.

  • Open any website for which to view the source code.
  • Open the particular web page to see the source code.
  • On the Keyword hit “CTRL+U”. 

How to View Website Source Code, If the website developer disabled the right-click.

To view the source code of a particular web page follows the steps below.

  • Open the Hubspot website for which to view the source code.
  • Open the particular web page to see the source code. (Image below/ A particular webpage)
  • The weird three vertical dots on your system top right-hand side. Click on it.
  • From the pop-up menu enter on more tools.
  • It will show you a pop-up menu from there click on the Developers tools.

Tip: If you are lazy like me then just hit “CTRL+U” twice it will open the source code of a webpage.

Till here, I would say we all are either familiar or it was simple straight forward with the technique of opening a source code of a web page. But, what if the above three are not working or the web developer has disabled them. 

Now what we are going to cover is simple but new as well:

  • All we need to put view-source: in front of any web page URL you would like to see the source code of web page.

This post is not about what is Internet Explorer. But, for just small knowledge that it’s owned by the tech giant Microsoft Corporation.  

Alike Google,  Internet Explorer doesn’t provide so many options to check the source code.

Anyways:

Follow the following steps to check the website source code for a website on the Internet Explorer:

  • Visit any website for which you want to check the source code.
  • Visit a particular web page or homepage for which you want to check the source code.
  • Right-click in a blank area and select the option of View source from the pop-menu.

If the website developer disabled the right-click then what?

Open a website and navigate any particular webpage for which you want to check the source code:

  • Open any website for which to view the source code.
  • Open the particular web page to see the source code.
  • The three horizontal dots on your system top right-hand side. Click on it.
  • From the pop-up menu enter on more tools.
  • It will show you a pop-up menu from there click on the Developer tools.

Other ways on Internet Explorer:

  • CTRL + U  is the shortcut keyword to check the source code of a website on the Internet Explorer.
  • Similarly, SHIFT + F12 is the Hotkey to check the source code on Internet Explorer.

How to check the Website Source on Mozilla Firefox:

Follow the following steps to check the website source code for a website on the Mozilla Firefox:

  • Open any website for which you want to check the source code.
  • Open a particular web page or homepage for which you want to check the source code.
  • Right-click in a blank area and select the option of Page view source from the pop-menu.

If the website developer disabled the right-click then what?

Open a website and navigate any particular webpage for which you want to check the source code:

  • Open any website for which to view the source code.
  • Navigate to the particular web page to see the source code.
  • The three horizontal lines on your system top right-hand side. Click on it.
  • From the pop-up menu click on web developer tools. 
  • It will show you another pop-up menu from there click on the Page source.

Other ways on Mozilla Firefox :

  • CTRL + U  is the shortcut keyword to check the source code of a website on the Mozilla Firefox.
